How this works: As more people sign up, the lower per-person cost. A donation, additional money someone is willing to pay on top of the final per-person cost, brings the cost even lower. Drivers pack stuff for free and are not included in any calculation here, unless they offer to make a donation or pay for their space. Bikes cost 75.00 no matter what, unless you buy a truck share - then you can pack in as many bikes as as you want into your share space. I am willing to cover the difference if the cost per person does not go below $220.
- 24' truck: $2589.00($309.65/wk, $39.95/day extra)
- Total estimated costs(truck+gas+related expenses): $5000.00
- Current cost per person: $-2395.5(includes $ cash from last year)
Truck information: 24' Truck, 1550 cu.ft. 11000 lb capacity rented from Ryder TRS/Budget. I am still in the process in trying to work a better deal with Ryder. Our current cost per mile is $0.16/mile, and I'd like to get this a bit lower. I have chosen to stick with Ryder this year because of our positive experience with them last year.
